Elle Macpherson bans girls from auditioning in bikinis for new TV show

Catwalk queen Elle Macpherson has banned girls from auditioning in bikinis on her new TV show in the UK, as she deemed it "inappropriate".

The supermodel, 48, known as 'The Body' for her swimwear shoots made the decision after she felt uncomfortable for the scantily clad girls.

"It just felt inappropriate. It is very uncomfortable for a girl to stand in front of people like this -- naked and freezing cold," the Sun quoted the show host Macpherson, who is also executive producer of the Next Top Model series as saying.

"We started off putting the girls in bathing suits, but when I saw the first lot come in I just thought, "I can't do this to them. It's not fair," she said.

The Australian lingerie tycoon also felt that seeing all the contestants in similar bikinis meant the girls individual characters were harder to read.

"I am really interested in the personalities of the girls and that is often projected in the way they dress," she added.

The first round of auditions, filmed in Glasgow before the rule change will still be seen on Sky Living, but contestants elsewhere will only be seen fully clothed.

Kim Kardashian is planning to shed weight before she takes her vows with fiance Kris Humphries.

The recently engaged reality star has decided to resort to a 'wedding slim-down' before she can say 'I do' to the basketball lover.

When one of Kardashian's followers tweeted that they were "on (their) way to GNC to buy some QuickTrim," the 30-year-old was quick to respond that she also wanted it in order to shape up before the grand ceremony.

"Take some for me! I'm about to start again! Wedding slimdown," Us Mag quoted her as saying.

Kardashian, who is famous worldwide for her voluptuous figure, also said that while growing up she 'never knew how to embrace curves'.

Model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has revealed that she sometimes regrets her fashion choices because she gets ready so quickly.

The 25-year-old beauty said she takes only 10 minutes to get ready for the day.

She doesn't want her look to be too polished, but admits she often questions her fashion choices because she makes her outfit decisions so quickly.

"I like to look young and fresh and I don't want to spend too much time," Contact Music quoted her as telling Britain's Hello! Magazine.

"I usually have ten minutes to throw something on and, believe me, there are days when I leave the house questioning what I'm wearing, that's for sure," she said.

Hold onto your haute couture! Lady Gaga has revealed her future plans -- she wants to create her own clothing line when she is done with music.

The 25-year-old singer -- who is known for her love of eccentric clothing, including a dress made of meat and one outfit of Kermit the Frog puppets -- has a great relationship with people in the fashion world and will one day create her own line of clothes, but not until she is bored with song-writing.

"I really, really have such admiration for fashion designers and I'm such good friends with them," Contactmusic quoted her as saying backstage at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada.

"I'd love a fashion line when I stop making music for a while, for a year. But that's not going to happen soon. I'm in love with song-writing right now," she added.

Wayne Ronney's wife Coleen appeared to be entirely unrecognisable in her latest fashion shoot.

She fronted ITV2 series Coleen's Real Women, searching for ordinary girls to compete against trademark models for top jobs.

"I want to give ordinary people the same opportunities I've had and persuade the most image-conscious in the world that bigger doesn't necessarily mean bad," the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

The heavy makeover saw the star raising eyebrows with her glossy campaign for Littlewoods.com

Speculations suggested that she had been given a retouch from the airbrush in the sixties-inspired snaps.

Liya Kebede, an Ethiopian model and actress, has been chosen as the new face of L'Oreal Paris.

"I'm pleased to play a part in sharing the uniqueness, the charisma, and the incredible stories of women of all origins and from all regions of the world," the New York Daily News quoted Kebede as saying in a statement.

According to the Telegraph, Moss will present a line of smoky eyes and six lip colours including her favorite shade of red, reports the New York Daily News.

While a spokesperson for the cosmetics company said the products and packaging are still in the final stages of development, the Daily Mail has reported that customers can expect the makeup to come with a leopard print rhinestone pouch.

Heidi Montag has revealed the secret behind regaining her slim shape after gaining weight.

Montag said the slim shape was all due to some serious time in the gym.

"I've been working out from, like, 5 am to 7 pm for two months now. I've been working out really hard because I had this pool party and I was like, I have to be in shape," Us Magazine quoted her as saying.

"And I was actually a lot overweight. It was the most I've ever been because I've kind of been in hiding eating pie with my husband and puppies, so I needed to get back in shape," she added.

At her heaviest, the 5'2" reality star claimed she weighed 130 pounds; she's currently back down to 103.

"I've been running a lot, and I've been doing weights," she said.

"When you work out, you boost your metabolism, so you have to (make sure you eat enough)," she added.

Heidi isn't the only one in fighting shape. Nicole Scherzinger, who took over Cheryl Cole's place as a judge on the US X Factor show was seen flaunting her super-toned abs and tiny waist in a knitted midriff top at an audition of the show.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer's waist looked tiny in her pale blue Ksubi skinny leg jeans, as she paired them with the barring top at the Miami auditions of the X Factor, reports the Daily Mail.

Nicole, who wore her hair down and applied minimal makeup, teamed the outfit with a simple pair of Havaianas flip-flops and a cream designer handbag.

The singer appeared to have lost some weight in the lead up to her newly appointed role of judge on the reality talent show.

Her stomach was also flatter than ever and her waist appeared slim-line.

And joining the toned brigade is Blake Lively, whose personal trainer has revealed that the actress followed a very strict diet chart to shape up for Green Lantern.

Celebrity trainer Bobby Strom, who worked with the blonde last year, said that he had fed the star porridge, flaxseed and almond milk during the gruelling shoot.

"With this project I did all the cooking. For breakfast I made Blake and Ryan (Blake's co-star) eat oatmeal," the Daily Mail quoted the 54-year-old trainer as saying.

"I'd cook a big batch of steel cut oatmeal -- not the instant type they sell in packets," he said.

"It may sound a little boring but it's a very good complex carbohydrate, which is really low in fat. I'd put fresh fruit in it -- usually berries like blueberries,"

"Then I added a little almond milk to sweeten it and a bit of protein powder so they got some carbohydrate and protein in one meal and I also added some flaxseeds which are essential fats," he added.

While treating the 23-year-old actress and her partner to protein and salad, for lunch, he had said the 'biggest no-no' to alcohol 'because it's just empty calories'.

Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress which she wore in the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch has been sold for 4.6 million dollars at an auction in California.

During a moment in the classic movie, the ivory pleated Travilla dress flew up as air rose from the subway grate underneath, revealing Monroe's legs, in the glory of Technicolor and CinemaScope.

Monroe was definitely the star at the auction of Hollywood memorabilia, as her costumes were sold at whooping prices, reports CBS News.

The actress's red-sequin number from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and her dress from Little Girl From Little Rock fetched 1.2 million dollars.

Monroe's saloon girl costume from River of No Return also fetched 510,000 dollars and her skimpy outfit from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which she wore during the Heat Wave number, went for a half-million.

The auction, held at the Calabasas, Calif.-based Profiles in History, was the first day on the block of the Debbie Reynolds collection.
