Australian model and this month's Elle covergirl Maddison McKay in a quick chat at the LFW!

Which is your fave IPL team?

Of course, Mumbai Indians. My cousin will be playing for the Mumbai Indians in IPL4.

Your favourite cuisine...

Global fusion. I like mixing cuisines from different countries.

Do you cook? What do you make the best?

I do. Salads are my forte. Anyone who thinks salads are boring, hasn't had a salad made by me. I make delicious salads.

The other night, I made a mixed leaf salad with citrus, pomegranates and roasted hazel nuts.

Your idea of a perfect date...

A perfect date can be anything so long as it is with the right person.

Facebook or Twitter?

Facebook. I don't have a Twitter account.

Why?

I don't understand Twitter, to be honest with you. I love Facebook, which is the best way to be in touch with your friends and family. You can upload photos, and they can see what you are doing.

Beauty to you is...

True beauty is something that comes from within. Work on the inside and it will start showing on the outside.

And being sexy to you is...

Having charisma but still being yourself. Trying too hard is not sexy, just be real.

First thing you do when you check into a hotel...

I jump on the bed. The beds are so soft and fluffy that you feel like jumping on it.

Important things that single female travelers should do...

Don't be scared of travelling alone, but also don't put yourself in dangerous or compromising situations. Dress appropriately and make sure you know a bit about where you are travelling to before you go so it is easier to get your bearings when you arrive.

Also, women inately have a strong sense of intuition -- so it is important to listen to and trust your intuition when travelling as it can really keep you safe.

Most beautiful thing about India...

The people, the culture, the landscapes and the diversity. I see beauty everywhere in India.

Gadgets you like...

I love my Macbook Pro. I do everything on it.

What interests you?

Travel, luxury, health and fashion are my interests. I am lucky enough to enjoy these through my work, but even when I am not working I make the effort to travel and explore places. I also like to write about such things.

One of my best friends is an editor of a travel magazine in Dubai, so i am going to start contributing articles for that magazine soon.

Hot Indian male?

I think Milind Soloman (Soman). He has an amazing presence. I have seen him wondering around during the shows for all these years.

Would he be your perfect date?

(Laughs) No, actually my perfect date would be my boyfriend, Jonathan. He came to India during February and we had a month of perfect dates-- this country is so romantic! We spent a lot of time in Rajasthan, the places there were amazing.

The best was while I did a shoot for the Elle magazine cover in Jaipur, in Rajasthan, and he came all the way from Australia, and we had a wonderful time there.

What men turn you off?

Guys that are sleazy and of course men who use those cheesy pick-up lines -- they don't work at all! If at all, they just give us something to laugh about.

And what men turn you on?

Guys who are secure in themselves firstly, but they also have to be stylish, athletic and love to make the most out of life. It is also great when a guy knows how to look after a woman but without controlling her. That is really important, and insecure guys have trouble doing that.
