We bring you glimpses of the ongoing Oriental Charm Islamic Fashion Festival held in KL.

Malaysia's annual Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) is currently underway, from November 14 to 18 this year.

With 'Oriental Charm' as the theme this year, the demure outfits still managed to exude an exotic charm; more than 60 designers belonging to different ethnic and religious backgrounds from across the world are participating.

Seen here is a model strutting her stuff in a creation from the 'Contemporient Ale' collection by Itang Yunasz of Indonesia, consisting of headscarf, pretty pink floral salwar kameez and a string of pearls to glam things up.

Next we have this suitably covered up but stylish design from 'The Forbidden City' collection by Zizi Design of Malaysia -- note how the accessories give the whole look an edge.

Colour it up

Another ensemble from Zizi Design shows off bold colours and stripes in a relaxed cut, lending it a rather boho vibe.

Keeping the Oriental theme in mind, here we see a mix of rich, deep hues complemented by a traditional Chinese parasol, from the line 'Shades of Qipao' by Hajaba of Malaysia.

Western influence

International brand Kenzo was also associated with the fest -- seen here is a deep green foliage-print cardigan at their showing.

Jacket jazz

Kenzo presented plenty of jackets and headscarves that are in keeping with Islamic tradition, sporting becoming patterns and motifs.

Soft silhouettes

Using soft, rich fabrics like satin and keeping the silhouettes feminine but gently flowing, designers managed to take the right direction.

Hint of sparkle

And of course, for that added bit of excitement, Jaipore Jewels showcased their jewellery designs -- after all, diamonds are a girl's best friend, even if she prefers Islamic fashion!
