PICS: Fashion inspired by free-spirited nymphs!

Inspired by nomads, free spirits and the colours of Africa, designer Babita M showcased an earthy but vibrant collection called 'Urbane Nomad-ism' at the LFW.

Free-flowing silhouettes and a luxe-meets-boho vibe defined the garments, crafted from fabrics like the silks of Habutai, crepes, georgettes and silk wools. High-low dresses, maxis, throws, contemporary fusion wear and sari draperies were among the offerings.

Seen here is a cut-out tie-dye maxi, set off with tribal accessories.

Next we have this vibrant checkered dip-dye number, sporting a single sleeve and asymmetric hem.

The designer adds dimensions to this ensemble with several layers and lengths, together with funky fringed ankle cuffs.

From saris to daring slit dresses and more demure silhouettes, there was a lot to see.

Tassels and fringes seem to be making a comeback this season and this kicky look fits right in.

Hotpants make an appearance, along with a lovely pastel colour-block blouson.

Colours of nature, from bark brown to foliage green, are showcased on an array of draped and layered garments.

We loved this feminine coral blouse, billowing out over a dark brown miniskirt.

A percussionist entertains the audience with rhythm as the designer's collection takes a final round on the ramp.

And the diminutive Babita M then joins her models for a curtain call.
