Welcome to the weekly fashion round-up, where we bring you the latest on supermodels, style, designers and everything in-between!

Which popstar is splashing out in hundreds of thousands on beauty treatments before her wedding? Which A-lister's figure has been dubbed 'perfect'?

Jessica Biel willing to bare all

Jessica Biel has revealed that she doesn't have qualms about stripping off again on the big screen even though her last attempt at nude scenes landed up on saucy Internet sites.

The brunette beauty stripped off to play an exotic dancer in Powder Blue, which failed to impress Hollywood bosses and went straight to DVD.

But Biel insists the film flop won't stop her from shedding her clothes for a role again.

"I did Powder Blue because I thought it was a powerful story. It's too bad that that film was never released in the theatres and all you see is what was put up on YouTube," the Daily Express quoted her as telling the Sun.

"The film was so much more interesting than seeing me strip off. If it's a good film and a good role and it makes sense for the character, I wouldn't mind doing nudity."

"You just want to be doing something where the nudity doesn't detract from the story and overshadows the rest of your work in the film," she added.

Nivea dumps 'too raunchy' Rihanna

Rihanna has been axed from Nivea advertising campaigns after bosses branded the singer too outrageous to be compatible with the skincare giant's brand values.

The firm had employed the 24-year-old singer for a multi-million-pound ad campaign last year and also sponsored her world tour.

The Umbrella hitmaker is to part from the firm after Stefan Heidenreich, the new head of Nivea's parent company Beiersdorf, said in Germany that he did not understand how Nivea could be associated with her.

"The advert starring Rihanna was a no-go. I do not understand how Nivea can be brought into association with her," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

"Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability," he added.

Pin-up queen Betty Page's never-seen photo collection to be auctioned

A Manhattan entertainment mecca has shut its doors, selling off its entire collection of Hollywood memorabilia, including one of the largest sets of late American model Bettie Page's original pin-ups.

The treasure trove of more than three million photographs, 10,000 films, and 250,000 negatives were sold by entertainment mecca Movie Star News for a seven-figure sum last week and will be auctioned off by Guernsey's next year.

"It's one of the most important photo archives in Hollywood history," the New York Daily News quoted Stuart Scheinman, co-owner of the Las Vegas-based Entertainment Collectibles that purchased the collection, as saying.

Movie Star News was a New York institution for 73 years, buying stills from the studios and selling them for next to nothing.

But in the age of the Internet, the dying business sold its entire inventory and the brick storefront on West 18th Street is now being leased to another tenant.

Auction house Guernsey's was called in less than two weeks ago to assess the cinema buff's paradise.

The company quickly moved 100 full file cabinets and 300 large cartons of memorabilia out on Thursday, vacating the building just before the lease ran out on Monday, Arlan Ettinger, president of the auction house, said.

Ettinger said that the multi-day auction will probably be beginning in January and will be open to the public. He plans to group photos of each of the 5,000 film stars in their own lots, "so that if James Dean is your passion, you'll be able to bid on materials specifically related to him," he said.

There's something for everyone in the collection, ranging from original RKO Westerns starring John Wayne to never-before-seen negatives of Charlie Chaplin.

"There's over 750 original negatives and photos of Marilyn Monroe, from the early, early years of her career," Scheinman said.

"There are 680 Betty Grable originals. These are tens of thousands of original negatives that nobody's ever seen before," he added.

But the highlight of the collection is the thousands of Page's photos and memorabilia.

The photographer Irving Klaw, who had established the store in 1939, "made Bettie Page famous," Scheinman said.

"In the 1940s, she answered an ad to be one of his models in this new form of the pin-up, which was just evolving then. And then Bettie Page became the pin-up queen," he said.

During the 1950s Senate hearings on pornography, the late photographer was threatened with jail time if he didn't destroy his extensive set of the racy Page negatives.

Although Klaw burned most of them, his sister and fellow photographer Paula Klaw wasn't intimidated -- she not only kept her collection of photos, but also kept Page's costumes and props, too.

The collection included nine pairs of Page's shoes, dozens of whips, chains, and ropes, and the original cameras with which she was photographed.

"It's tame by today's standards, but it was extremely controversial at the time," Scheinman said.

The collection will be auctioned off, beginning next year. Some of the items may go for only 20 dollars, Scheinman guessed, but others have been valued in the 50 dollar to 100,000 dollar range.

"There's nobody that's not represented in this collection," he added.

Britney Spears has reportedly splurged 100,000 pounds on a beauty and exercise regime before her wedding to fiance Jason Trawick in December.

According to Now Magazine, the 30-year-old singer is assembling a top team of personal trainers and top chefs to maintain her fabulous figure ahead of her winter nuptials.

The Toxic hitmaker is said to be planning a course of Pilates lessons, as well as regular facials and massages, so she looks her best to celebrate her Christmas wedding.

Her pricey plans, with the cost of treatments set to total more than 100,000 pounds, also include three baths where 1,000 bottles of Evian water are poured into a tub that is covered in rose petals -- a snip at a mere 4,000 pounds per bath.

"Brit's looking great at the moment -- her new body's given her a huge boost," the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying.

"That's spurred her on to keep going and she's now decided to add more elements to her regime," the source said.

Spears and Trawick are said to favour a Christmas beach wedding in Hawaii, so that they can enjoy the privacy of the off-season.

Cabo in Mexico is also being touted as a potential location for the festive wedding, but plans for the celebrations are sure to be kept tightly under wraps.

Nicole Kidman's figure dubbed `perfect`

Nicole Kidman, who is sleek, svelte and almost 1.78 metres tall, has inspired Hemingway and Gelhorn costume designer Ruth Myers.

Myers was nominated this year for an Emmy for her tailored 1930s and '40s-based dress slacks and suits in the HBO movie.

"Nicole has the best bum in the world...She has the perfect figure," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Myers as saying at the recent Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) party.

Myers and other Emmy-nominated costume designers came to celebrate the clothes from many shows and TV movies, including Hemingway and Gelhorn, American Horror Story, Downton Abbey, Once Upon A Time and Boardwalk Empire.

The exhibition, which runs in Los Angeles until October 20, is co-presented by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The Emmy Awards are announced in Los Angeles on September 23.

On display are the wide-legged, high-waisted trousers, textured beige cardigan and rose-coloured blouse worn by Kidman in her role as Spanish Civil War and World War II correspondent Martha Gelhorn, Hemingway's third wife.

Myers gave the look -- so in line with the current high-waisted pants trend -- a contemporary twist, using vintage fabrics recut and redesigned.

Kat Dennings attempts to steal Christina Hendricks' 'cleavage queen' crown

Christina Hendricks has a new contender in the form of Kat Dennings, who is hoping to steal her crown as the queen of cleavage.

Having observed what a low cut dress did for the profile of the Mad Men star, the equally buxom Dennings has followed her lead.

The Two Broke Girls star highlighted her hourglass figure in a version of Hendricks' Vivienne Westwood dress.

While Hendricks made an impact in a coral version of the gown last September, Dennings chose a shorter blue frock.

The 26-year-old actress attended the summer press tour party for the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles, the Daily Mail reported.

With her brunette hair curling over her shoulders and her hands defiantly on her hips, Dennings certainly made an impact.

She showcased her cleavage and curves in a figure-hugging midnight blue strapless dress.

Why Gwen Stefani uses makeup regularly

Gwen Stefani, who has graced the recent cover of Harper's Bazaar, has revealed that she's 'always been a girl who loves to dress up'.

When she's not rocking out onstage with her band, the 42-year-old No Doubt frontwoman enjoys forgoing pants and belly shirts for a more glam look.

"I've always been a girl who loves to dress up," the New York Daily News quoted her as telling the September issue of Harper's Bazaar.

"I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch with you," she said.

However, unlike many people who prefer to go makeup-free when they're in the comfort of their own home, Stefani says she prefers to keep it on in the presence of her musician husband Gavin Rossdale.

"I like to make my husband like me more," she said.

"And he likes it when I'm wearing makeup," Stefani added.

Transformulas' eye lift cream that has picked up awards at various beauty product prize-givings and is being raved about by industry specialists, is being touted as the secret behind Elizabeth Hurley's good looks.

The gel, which is branded as a 'wake me up wonder' and the 'no-needle eye lift in a tube', has a waiting list of over 8,000.

Promising to rid the world of tired and puffy eyes by lifting, tightening and firming the thin skin around them, the cooling gel claims to work immediately, improving moisture levels while tackling the effects of both short and long-term anti-ageing.

The gel also vows to give strained computer eyes and strained party eyes the essential relief.

During trials of the new formula 100 percent of users found the gel provided an instant lifting effect; 90 percent saw a significant reduction in fine lines and wrinkles; 70 percent felt their skin was softer after use, and the same percentage saw a significant reduction in puffiness around the eyes.

"The Transformulas Eye Lifting Gel really is one of our biggest successes, and customers just cannot get enough of this treatment that gives visibly instant and longer term anti-ageing results," the Daily Mail quoted brand founder Rosi Chapman as saying.

"The new formulation is even more effective and will work hard to repair the advanced signs of ageing such as deep lines, wrinkles and under eye bags that appear around the delicate eye area," she said.

Containing beech tree bud, Kigelia Africana extract, peptides and anti-oxidants, the gel claims to repair and lift the area's delicate skin and the plant extracts work by giving the skin more elasticity to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, while other active ingredients have antibacterial properties which help with healing, firming and hydrating.

Transformulas is available in 10ml bottles for 29.95 pounds in the UK.

Women's lingerie follows `40-year cycle`

Ladies' lingerie styles follow a 40-year cycle, a new study has revealed.

Vintage bedroom looks, which were last fashionable in the 1970s, are back in style, while unflattering G-strings and bulky padded bras have been pushed to the back of girls' knicker drawers.

Experts claim outwear clothing takes 50 years for a once fashionable look to be back in style.

The theory, known as Lavers Law, was developed in 1937 by fashion historian James Laver.

However, new research by bra firm Ultimo found that undies trends move ten years faster that other clothing styles as girls seek out new ways to look sexy and keep their partners interested.

Comeback lingerie styles include padded bras, which were first developed in the 1950s and flew back into fashion during the 1990s with Wonderbra's Hello Boys campaign.

1960s Mad Men-style stockings and suspenders became popular again in the 2000s as girls took up the burlesque dance craze.

Other frillies following the 40-year rule include 1920s camisoles which began fashionable worn under hippy fashions in the 1960s and again under suit jackets in the 2000s.

And 1950s pointed bras donned by movie queens Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe was copied by Madonna in the 1990s.

"Trends come around in lingerie as they do in fashion and it doesn't surprise me that it works on a 40-year cycle," the Sun quoted Ultimo boss and bra queen Michelle Mone as saying.

"It used to be that we changed our lingerie to suit fashions, but now underwear is setting the styles before outwear," she added.

Popstar Pink has signed up to be the new face of American cosmetics brand CoverGirl.

The Please Don't Leave Me hitmaker will make her debut in print ads for the cosmetic firm this fall, in which the "in-your-face cool girl" will dare women to take more beauty chances.

"Pink is a powerful and provocative role model, who has always been an advocate of individualism and making no apologies for who you are," Fox News quoted Esi Eggleston Bracey, VP and General Manager, CoverGirl Cosmetics, as saying in a statement.

"That combination of irreverence and integrity is exactly what the CoverGirl brand loves about her and identifies with."

"We have admired Pink's art and her attitude for years! We love the energy and confidence that she radiates, and the fact that inside and out she's as cool as she looks," Bracey added.
