The BEST perfumes in the market this year!

In the fourth of a weeklong series, we bring you a list of perfumes that won out in the fragrance category at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2012.

We've already brought you the best skincare products, anti-aging products and makeup available in the Indian market, feted at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2012 held on August 1 in Mumbai.

Over 1,100 products were rigorously scrutinised and personally tested by an expert panel of judges, and in the following pages, we bring you the 12 makeup selections that emerged winners.

Best day fragrance

This category was swept by Miss Dior Eau Fraiche from the house of Dior. A light, fresh fragrance ideal for the day and endorsed by Hollywood hottie Natalie Portman, it will set you back a cool Rs 5,500 for 100ml.

There was a tie between Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Narciso Rodriguez for Her as best evening perfume; Keira Knightley is the face of the former and Estonian model Carmen Kass is Narciso's muse.

Both are rather excessively heavy on the wallet, with Coco Mademoiselle costing about Rs.8,200 for 100 ml and Narciso fractionally cheaper at Rs 7,000 for the same quantity.

Bulgari Rose Essentielle took the title as best classic perfume.

Endorsed by Kate Moss and costing Rs 3,700 for 100 ml, it's considerably more reasonably priced than the others and an acquisition that's not going out of style anytime soon.

Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen is the face of the perfume Vogue voted best new addition -- Valentino Valentina.

It will set you back approximately Rs 6,000 for a 100 ml bottle.

And for men, it was Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme Sport that emerged the winner.

Costing Rs 2,850 for 100 ml, it is far cheaper than any of the ladies' fragrances on this list!
