Barack Obama confessed to civil society activist Maina Kiai that he'd kicked the butt because he was scared of his wife!

What have you sacrificed for your wife? Tell us!

Whoever thought of the American President to be the most powerful man in the world had obviously not considered the First Lady.

A recent casual conversation between Barack Obama and civil society activist Maina Kiai has revealed that the President hasn't lit a cigarette in years because he's too afraid of inciting his wife's wrath!

On being asked about his smoking habits, Obama confessed that he hadn't smoked in about six years and added, grinning: "That's because I'm scared of my wife."

In doing so, the President probably spoke for a large population of his gender.

So here we are, asking you, our dear readers, to tell us what did you give up for your wife?

Did you, like Obama, quit smoking? Or did you give up that nasty drinking habit?

It could be anything -- working late, eating sweets and unhealthy food or just being lazy around the house.

What did you give up to save yourself from your wife's ire?
