Soon after its third coming in 2011, legendary motorcycle manufacturer Indian Motorcycles launched the Indian Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and Chieftain. Here are some interesting facts you must know about them...

Indian Motorcycles is not just any other motorcycle manufacturer. It is a legend, a trend setter and a true revolutionary brand in terms of sheer biking and engineering experience.

Founded in 1901, the company was first named as the Hendee Manufacturing Company by George M Hendee in 1897.

Initially, it started crafting bicycles and with the technological advancement, it designed a 1.75bhp, single-cylinder engine that brought the company into the two-wheeler industry.

The company was able to engage people till 1953 but because of an unfortunate event, the company went bankrupt and was no more on the move. It began manufacturing between 1999 to 2003 but had to shut down again.

Again in July, 2006, Stellican Limited, London based private equity firm kickstarted Indian Motorcycles. In this new avatar Indian Motorcycles emphasised on sheer luxury and design.

In 2011, the company was bought by Polaris and introduced the old legend Indian Chief in a whole new format.

Today, the Indian Chief seems like a perfect vehicle that can help the company continue, hopefully, for longer in the market.

Soon after its third coming the company launched the Indian Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and Chieftain.

All these superbly crafted and designed products from Indian Motorcycles range from Rs 27 lakh to 34 lakh.
