Ali Irani deposes before CBI

Former Indian cricket physiotherapist Ali Irani today deposed before the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the match-fixing scandal.

Irani arrived at the CBI headquarters this morning and met the special crime branch of the agency probing the scandal.

His deposition was necessitated following his conversation with former all-rounder Manoj Prabhakar about match-fixing in cricket.

Prabhakar, who had filmed the conversation on match-fixing clandestinely, submitted these videotapes to the CBI on May 27.
