Leander, Ramesh arrive on WednesdayK Jagannadha RaoIndia's flag-bearer and tennis spearhead Leander Paes will arrive at the Games village on Wednesday. However, there is no information on his comrade-in-arms Mahesh Bhupathi's arrival. Chef-de-mission Ashok Mattoo said on Tuesday he received a fax from Paes intimating his arrival. The team's Madras-based coach Ramesh Krishnan is also expected to join the contingent on Wednesday. "I also expect Mahesh to be here in the next two days," Mattoo said. Mattoo informed that there will be a dress rehearsal for the flag-bearers on Wednesday and the tennis ace will be put through his paces regarding protocol and procedures connected with his role in the march-past. The 115-member Indian contingent is entitled to have 77 people in the march-past. That would mean leaving out 38. A ticklish problem indeed, but Mattoo is confident of sorting it out. His job has been made easier by the fact that the last batch of 17 athletes will arrive only after the Games opening. The modest 41-member Indian print media contingent too faces a similar problem. They been given only 27 tickets for the opening ceremony.
