Huber withdraws

Germany's Anke Huber has been forced to withdraw from next week's Olympic tennis event because of injury.

The 25-year-old world No.10 tore a tendon in her right arm in a doubles quarter-final match at the US Open last week.

"I was really happy to compete at Sydney but my health is more important than anything else,'' Huber said.

The Swiss Tennis Federation has said that Patty Schnyder has also pulled out of the event.

Both Huber and Schnyder were due to play in the doubles. Replacements for both players will be announced shortly.
