Al Qaeda fighters holed up in a small area of Tora Bora mountain range in Afghanistan missed a surrender deadline set by Northern Alliance fighters for Wednesday morning.
A senior Afghan commander said the Al Qaeda fighters had agreed to surrender on Wednesday morning, but nothing had been heard from them so far.
Asked what his reaction was going to be, the commander said: "We will kill them if they don't surrender."
Sources said over 1000 Al Qaeda forces are holed up in Tora Bora.
