Saudi Prince fears Musharraf may be toppled

Saudi Prince Turki as-Sudairi fears that Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf may be toppled if the United States continues to bomb Afghanistan during the holy month of Ramadan, Wall Street Journal reported.

The Prince and other members of the royal family fear destabilisation of the Islamic world if the war against Afghanistan continues during Ramadan, or if the US begins targeting other nations such as Iraq, the report said.

"Ramadan is very important," said Prince Turki.

"Emotions will run high. There will be more support for Islamic groups. Some governments can be toppled," he said.

Asked what countries he was referring to, the Prince said, "Pakistan, Indonesia. We worry about civil war in Pakistan. The impact will be dramatic."
