Sixty-three percent of the Pakistanis oppose United States military strikes on Afghanistan to get at Saudi renegade Osama bin Laden, Online reported.
According to a snap poll by Gallup in major cities, more than 85 percent fear an imminent American attack. But only seven percent want the government to side with Washington.
Sixty-three percent of those surveyed said Pakistan should stand by Afghanistan, the news agency said.
And only one in five (22 percent) believe that bin Laden is responsible for the September 11 terrorist attacks that killed thousands in the New York and Pentagon, near Washington DC.
