US Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Friday that evidence of Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden's involvement in the September 11 terror attacks would be presented "so that everybody will see the case as clearly as we do".
"The information will be coming out. And it is not that the schedule has slipped. It's just that there's a lot of information to go through," Powell told the National Public Radio.
"We think it's in our interest to give as much information to the world as we can, while protecting our intelligence assets," he said.
The secretary of state said Washington already had a case against Laden that would justify action against him.
"The case is already out there. Osama bin Laden was indicted for blowing up two American embassies in Africa a few years ago. And so just on that alone, we have a basis to go after him," he said.
