Pakistan forces have moved into two airbases at Jacobabad and Pasni, reported The News.
The two airbases were under exclusive US control since the beginning of attacks on Afghanistan in December last year.
Pakistan officials said they were forced to take the airbases back from the US in view of the mounting tensions with India. They added that the Americans were not delighted by the move.
Two other airbases -- one at Dalbandin and the other at Al-Shamsi in Balochistan -- are still under full US control.
"It was such an emergency situation that Pakistan Air Force was ordered to move straight into the airports, while the discussions with the US officials on this subject were held later," The News quoted a senior official as saying.
"The US military was not delighted but it had no doubt that Pakistan required both bases to meet the war-like situation with India," he added.
