What: Creative writing expert Renu Balakrishnan is organising a workshop for students and working professionals who want to hone their creative writing skills.

This workshop attempts to realise the writer in each of us. It will help people who want to improve their creative writing skills in writing fiction and nonfiction. Remember, as John Dryden once said, "The chief aim of the writer is to be understood."

Course content

Session 1: Story structure in fiction and nonfiction writing -- complication/ resolution

Session 2: Plot

Session 3: Narrative design and voice

Session 4: Character and dialogue

Session 5: Setting

Session 6Tips on Writing using 'loose construing' method

~ There will be six sessions of two hours each.

When: September 20, September 27, October 4, October 11, October 18, October 25
