What: Cornell University School of Hotel Administration announces a four-day course fromĀ August 11-14, 2008 to be held in Hyderabad, India, on "Managing Strategic Growth and Leadership in Emerging Markets".

The course will beĀ delivered by the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University, NY, USA in association with Sathguru Management Consultants, Hyderabad, to boost Asian hospitality management skills.

Course details

  • The course will provide managing directors, general managers and other senior executives from the hospitality industry the opportunity to learn from a globally renowned faculty.
  • The course will focus on strategic planning for emerging markets, building strategic relationships -- brand affiliation contracts, hotel and lodging distribution, global hospitality trends in strategic planning for competitive advantage, functional level strategies, creating strategies to develop value perceptions, balanced scorecard, revenue management, marketing -- global best practices, valuation concepts and methods, and competency building challenges in emerging markets.
  • The participants will also analyse past experiences through well-documented lectures and case studies thus providing the leaders in the hospitality sector an opportunity to discover new pathways to innovation.
  • Participants will have the chance to interact with peers from other parts of Asia to exchange notes on strategies and processes.
  • On successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded a certificate from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
