What: SRM University announces the following scholarships to students admitetd to any branch of their choice for the academic year 2008-09.
- Tamil Nadu District Toppers Scholarships
Students who have secured the top two ranks in Tamil Nadu, taking into account total marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, will be exempted from payment of tuition fees and hostel fees on joining SRM University (in Engineering stream). In addition, they will be provided a stipend of Rs 1,000 per month. If they wish to join any of the government engineering colleges/ Anna University, the scholarship will be awarded equal to the tuition fees as per the recommendation of the committee copnstituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu. - Academic Performance Scholarships
Students who have secured 95 per cent and above marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry in Higher Secondary/ CBSE will be offered 50 per cent fees concession on joining any branch of their choice in SRM University. - Sports Scholarship
National and international level sports persons and exempted from tuition fees and hostel accomodation and mess fees. - Need-Based Scholarships
Scholarships in the form of suitable fee concession will be awarded to students from an economically backward background. - Scholarships for minority community students
- Scholarships for differently-abled students
Students who wish to avail of any of the above scholarships, which are limited to 250, should send xerox copies of their marksheets and relevant certificates issued to support their claim, by post or e-mail to the address below.
