January 20, while the world watches the inauguration of newly elected United States President Barack Obama, the fashion world will be watching his wife, Michelle.

And with good reason.

In 2008, Michelle's fabulous fashion sense became one of the most compelling parallel storylines to the presidential election. Her campaign trail outfits earned rave reviews and inspired countless articles -- on Web sites, Internet blogs, in newspapers, lifestyle, fashion and high-society magazines.

Michelle herself has frequently drawn comparisons (and rebuttals to the said comparisons) to iconic First Lady (of fashion) Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, wife of former US President John F Kennedy.

Michelle-mania reached fever-pitch a few months before Election Day, when a group of female writers banded together to create Mrs O, a frequently updated Web site that promises to 'follow the fashion of Mrs O'. And, today, almost six months later, it's hardly let up.

Now, it's said that the fledgling First Lady -- thanks to her style, panache and grace -- has the opportunity to redefine style for a generation, to become the next great global fashion icon.

So, all you budding young artists and fashion designers, how would you like to dress the fashion industry's newest muse? Here's your chance!

Send in your original representations -- drawings, computer designs, anything (preferably in jpeg format) -- of what you think Michelle should wear at the inauguration ceremony and/or the Inaugural balls next Tuesday, to whatmichellewillwear@rediffmail.com by 6 pm, Monday, January 19.

Be sure to include your name, age and contact details. The best entries will be featured right here and could even win something special.
