The Special Investigation Team on Thursday questioned former Maharashtra director general of police Subhashchandra Malhotra in connection with the fake stamp paper racket.
Malhotra had given a clean chit
to the then Mumbai police commissioner R S Sharma when the then SIT chief DIG Subodh Jaiswal had presented a report on the omissions and commissions of the Pune police in the investigation into the scam. Sharma was earlier the commissioner of the Pune police.
