MiG-29 crashes near Adampur, pilot safe

An Indian Air Force MiG-29 crashed on the outskirts of Droly Khurd village in the district this afternoon, police sources in Jalandhar said.

There was no loss of life as the fighter plane crashed in the open field and the pilot ejected safely.

IAF officers from the IAF Adampur base rushed to the spot of the accident. The MiG which was on routine flight from Adampur developed a technical snag soon after take off.

The IAF has ordered an inquiry into the crash.
