Andhra CM's son starts campaigning in Kadapa

Whether the Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's son YS Jaganmohan Reddy will get the party ticket from Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency is still a subject of speculation but the young aspirant has already launched his campaign on his home turf.

Starting his road show from Prodattur assembly constituency in Kadapa, along with the local legislator Vardarjula Reddy on Sunday, Jaganmohan Reddy said that he wanted to stay away from "corrupt politics" but had to take the plunge because the pressure and the wishes of the people.

Addressing a series of meetings, Jaganmohan Reddy challenged the Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu and the owner of Eenadu group, Ramoji Rao to contest from Kadapa constituency, "if they had the guts."

"
They will forfeit even their deposits", he said. Jaganmohan Reddy started his campaign by performing pooja at a local temple.

Jaganmohan Reddy lauded the progress and development of the state under the rule of his father during last five years.

"If you want this development to continue, you must give your blessings to the Congress party and make Rajasekhara Reddy Chief Minister once again".

Though Jaganmohan Reddy's name figures in the shortlist of aspirants for the party tickets but it was still not clear whether party high command will give him the ticket. The sitting Congress MP from Kadapa and Rajasekhara Reddy's younger brother, Vivekananda Reddy has already made it clear that he wishes to retire from active politics and should be succeeded by his nephew.
