Designer Pria Kataaria Puri held back-to-back showings in Mumbai over the weekend. The first, held on December 12, put a number of red carpet specials on display alongside jewellery by TBZ Nirmal Zaveri. Then, on December 13, Puri showcased a tantalising array of Indo-Western fusion bridalwear in association with Gitanjali Jewels, and had Bollywood starlet Raima Sen don the showstopper.

With Indo-Western bridals being the big trend this wedding season, it's no surprise that the designer decided to go with the flow for her first trousseau line. Raima did the honours in a resplendent red lehenga sporting rich gold embroidery.

Model Lisa Haydon strutted her stuff in a beautiful white and silver gown, sporting a large ruff at the neckline and completed with a wispy tulle veil.
We come back to ethnicwear with this dare-to-bare ghagra choli -- it's a bold route a lot of once-blushing brides are treading now.
...And some truly gorgeous red floral threadwork. The matching veil adds a sophisticated finish.
If you want to shine like a star on your wedding day, this shimmering ensemble by Puri should do the trick.
Another floor-sweeping number shows off hints of bright green against a gold backdrop, with a comparatively pale sash and cloak.

We finally see a sari in champagne lace, showing off delicate bits of silver. Very elegant!

The designer's love of all things shiny comes to the fore as her creations take to the runway one last time, with Binal Trivedi leading the pack in a hot sequinned cocktail mini.

Puri takes to the runway with her bridal muse at the end of a successful showing. But don't go away yet -- it's not time for her red carpet collection!
Puri's second line, showcased a day earlier, embodied all about the glam and glitz of high-profile society events. Model Aanchal Kumar strikes a pose here in a powder blue one-sided gown.
Nothing like an enchanting white floor-sweeper to make a statement -- and a few hundred diamonds on your neck and wrist!
The designer showcases perma-pleats in both fuschia and antiquated gold, with one dress flairing outward and the other empire-waisted.
Black ruffles cascade downward with an electric, sparkling green piping highlighting the backless cut.
A strapless number recreates black and white magic with a gentle floral motif.
While Aanchal shows off a black Western gown with lace finish, the model on the right shows off a lightly glimmering cocktail sari -- very chic.
And finally, we have Puri posing with her leggy lasses, looking very glam herself!
