Sharp cuts, masculine touches and nerdy spectacles characterised Ashish Soni's spring/summer 2010 collection, showcased on Day One of the WLIFW. Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent's cocktail hour dresses and British-born writer, heiress and political activist Nancy Cunard, here's a glimpse of the garments on offer.

Candice Pinto was one of the first on the runway in this sheen-tinged charcoal number with textured sleeves.

Simple and silky, this white dress is the very epitome of summer.

Stand out from the rest in this chocolate suede jacket, worn over pleated pants and wide-collared blouse.

Citrus and delicious, rich green is set off by textured detailing on the neckline.
A smooth black one-piece is both chic and sophisticated at the same time.
Binal Trivedi strikes a pose in a high-necked black outfit with neon green bubble detailing at the hip.
Soni sticks to the bubble theme on this waistcoat too, teamed with a plunging neckline.
The sleeves on Krishna Somani's jacket look so sharp they could cut someone! The pants are suitably relaxed in comparison.
Here is the little black dress at its best -- classic, with a halter neckline. And it looks great on Neha Kapoor.
The designer looks victorious as he steps out at the end of a well-received show.
