Ashish and Viral Parikh of Virtues displayed a gorgeous line of classic formal ethnicwear on Day Four of Lakme Fashion Week.

Inspired by Bollywood masterpieces Pakeezah and Umrao Jaan, intricate embroidery from a by-gone era adorned the heavy lehengas, robes and kalidars. Here is the aptly-named Forever range.

A lovely Benarasi flaired skirt with embroidered halter choli is teamed with churidaar pants and an embroidered dupatta.

Next up is a lovely silk lurex jacket and fitted trousers for men.
Go the pretty, precocious route in this lovely off-shoulder tunic, paired with churidaars and Benarasi dupatta.
Guys, up the ante with a brown brocaded jacket and grey suede pants, worn over a crushed tissue shirt.
Brazilian model Marianna Dias plays the Indian belle in this tissue georgette ensemble, with cutwork, pleating and embroidery.
If you've got it, flaunt it in this bold chorded choli and pink silk ghagra.
Sporting zardosi and cutwork, a Benarasi tissue lehenga sails down the runway, teamed with a blue resham dupatta and embroidered blouse.
Nicole Faria plays the coy bride in a lilac wraparound lehenga.
Carol Gracias makes a showstopping entry in the most breathtaking offering from Virtues so far -- a silk jute-velvet outfit with resham and applique work and cutwork dupatta.
Ashish and Viral accompany Carol down the ramp once more to soak in the adulation.
