Metal, crystals and opulent fabrics were all part of Raakesh Agarvwal's super-luxurious collection of eveningwear showcased on Day Five of Lakme Fashion Week. The colour scheme ranged from midnight blue to rich plum and fuschia pink, and the fabrics were mainly silk, tulle and net.
Dripping on gold, actress Lara Dutta took to the runway as the showstopper. Here's a look at the uber-rich offerings.
Pia Trivedi is the first entrant, in a hot little mini sporting a weave pattern.
Next up is half a purple sari, worn over a tiny choli and zippered, transparent leggings.
Here's a red carpet special, cowl necked and sweeping the floor in midnight blue.
Deep and wine-hued, a slightly sequinned gown with transparent touches dominates the runway.
Go the heavy metal route in this chained halter with matching vermillion silk skirt.
Marianna Dias is a vision in a maroon toga dress.
In this ravishing red gown, its shimmer catching the light.
Zips run in every direction across this bling-thing jumpsuit with low-slung neckline.
Carol Gracias does her thing in swathes of salmon and a heavily encrusted crystal belt.
The designer sends out another incomplete ethnic drape with matching leggings and silver diamonte corset blouse.
Marianna takes another turn on the ramp, this time in the best cutwork ethnic ensemble we've seen so far at Fashion Week. The intricacy and craftsmanship are dazzling, as is the overall appearance of the jacket itself. Wow!
Yet another champagne outfit is set off by a pink and purple dupatta, stylishly fastened by a belt.
Agarvwal sends out a ghagra choli with a brilliant red dupatta this time around, ensuring both uniformity and individualism in the line.
Shimmering and draped in gold chains, actress Lara Dutta showstops in a stunning sari.
Lara accompanies Agarvwal, who seems to be celebrating his successful display, down the runway.
