Two friends take a dip

Mukul Mahajan sent in this next image, saying, "I clicked this when I was on a trip to a village near Jammu. This boy was having so much fun with his buffalo." Looks like it from the way he's beaming into the camera!

Feasting on nectar

Amit Goel from Noida sent in this summery image. "This photo was clicked on the lawns of Vice Regal Lodge (formerly known as President House), Shimla," he says. "It reveals the beauty of summer; the climate was wonderful and a big relief after the scorching Delhi heat."

Stretching for a drink!

This cute photograph was sent in by Deep Pahwa, who explains, "This squirrel was busy quenching her thirst on a hot summer afternoon at a park close to my house in North Delhi. While her family ran away from the intruder (me), this one boldly made an effort and I was able to take pictures from all possible angles. Pity I couldn't tell her how good she was at it!"

Vast vistas

And finally, here is a scenic shot from Jayaraj Shantharam, who shot it from one of the tea estates in Coonoor, Nilgiris. "There were clouds overhead, which covered some parts of the hills with shadow, while the uncovered ones were bright with sunshine," he says.
