Chelsea vs Lazio
Chelsea coach Claudio Ranieri adopted the aggressive approach and included Hernan Crespo, Adrian Mutu, Juan Sebastian Veron, Damien Duff and Frank Lampard in the starting XI.
And Ranieri's decision was quickly vindicated when Chelsea scored after 15 minutes. Lazio goalkeeper Matteo Sereni could have easily dealt with Veron's driven cross but only managed to palm the ball straight into Crespo's path, who made no mistake.
