Some 20,000 sadhus have been camping in Haridwar since the start of the Kumbh in January. The government organises accommodation for them as well as electricity, water and rations. The administration takes the needs of the sadhus very seriously. In the past sadhus have been known to stomp out of a Kumbh, when adequate facilities were not provided to them.
