Anonymous statue
Adjacent to the lamp is a statue of an unknown British gentleman. No one knows who he was. No one knows who the sculptor was. Maybe he was a nobleman. Or a soldier. Time will never tell.

His neighbour is the headless Lord Wellesley. Luckily for him, a sign board lying on the ground identifies him and provides some details about the statue. It states that Lord Wellesley was the governor general of India from 1798 to 1805. The statue was built by the Merchants of Bombay, though their names was not mentioned.
