Saurashtra blooms with colour every September, when a fair kicks off at the sleepy hamlet of Tarnetar in the Chotila taluka of Gujarat's Surendranagar district. For three days Tarnetar spins like a top with a whirl of colourful, vibrant activity. The mela is held in honor of Lord Shiva at the Trineteshwar Mahadev temple.
