What do we have now that we didn't back then?
Tell us what you think is different about life today from 18 years ago!
While we are waiting with bated breath for the Allahabad high court to pass judgment on the Ayodhya case and hoping for peaceful acceptance of this legal outcome across the nation, one can't help but reflect upon how much life has changed since December 6, 1992.
For one thing, not many of today's youngsters seem to even know what that fateful day was all about.
More than a couple of media outlets have carried articles quizzing 18-year-olds about the events leading up to the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmbhoomi title dispute and they've been sharing some truly astounding pearls of wisdom regarding the issue (apparently, Manmohan Singh was PM back then too and Ayodhya is in Andhra Pradesh).
Gen Y is probably too busy tinkering with their iPads and Blackberries or logging onto Facebook every few minutes to post interesting status updates ('I had rajma for lunch today!').
And oh yeah, we didn't have iPads, Blackberries or Facebook back in 1992 -- cellphones and the Internet were still a no-show.
Come to think of it, a lot of the things we take so much for granted today were not around back then.
Can you think of any names to add to those mentioned above?
