Fashion: What Sallu is offering by way of Being Human

To say that Salman Khan's ramp show was a star-studded event would be an understatement. Everyone who was anyone made their presence felt at Khan's HDIL India Couture Week show. From the sexy Preity Zinta (looking somewhat odd in her new hairdo), to the charming Imran Khan (with girlfriend Avantika Malik) it was one gala affair. Among the ones we spotted on the first row were Sushmita Sen, Ameesha Patel, Twinkle Khanna, Karan Johar, Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora, Manish Malhotra, Farah Khan, Sridevi, Kiran Rao and cricketer Yuvraaj Singh.

The designers who with whom collaborated with Salman Khan included Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Kunal Rawal, Gavin Miguel, Rocky S, Gayatri Khanna, Babita Malkani and Ashish Soni. But the highlight of the show was Salman Khan's paintings, printed on the models' dresses. This balloon dress might be somewhat odd in shape, but it sure shows off Sallu's artistic side.

Haute halter

Halter necks sure seem to be the 'in' thing this season and the story wasn't much different at the show either.

Evening fantasy

A model shows off an asymmetrical empire line evening gown with a daring slit down the front.

Fine leg

This off-shoulder sexy evening gown definitely requires more than just an hourglass figure -- a visit to the parlour.

Power of two

Hotpants are totally, well, hot right now, though we're not quite sure about the fur. The cocktail number is quite demure, in comparison.

Shrug it!

There's nothing like a nice rouched silk shrug to keep you cosy now, is there? On the right we catch a glimpse of a sexy netted head-turner.

Heating it up

We might've given this asymmetrical top with hotpants a pass had it not been for the dainty accessorising with the golden chains.

Ho hum

Sure, we love lavender. But something here simply doesn't make us go a-ha!

Keeping it simple

At the end, it all boils down to a simple tee and a pair of blue denims. And since none of it is couture, full points for the bag that completes this universal street fashion ensemble.
