Short and sweet -- that was Amit Aggarwal's collection, showcased on the first day of the WLIFW. Silks, drapes and earthy tones played a big role on the runway -- here's a look.

We start off with Tamara Moss in this brown cinched dress, a black panel across half the bodice and one sleeve breaking its uniformity.

Texture, texture and more texture

Embossed buttons, ruffles, leathery fabric and geometric lines make a statement. Would you wear this, though?

Cape-a-rific

Tamara comes on again, this time in a classy black cocktail dress, dramatised with a white sheer cape stemming from just below the bodice.

It's a wrap

Strut your stuff like Sonalika Sahay in a rich chocolate satin wraparound -- and don't miss that kicky purse and shoes.

Deep purple

Jumpsuits are 'in' and this one ends in baggy pants, with a jacket thrown in for good measure.

Drape all over

Aggarwal goes into drape overdrive once more with this mini.

Pret pleats

This is one sophisticated silhouette, the grey hue only serving to enhance its lovely detailing.

Chic pick

Team a ruffled white blouse and black skirt with ankle boots and voila! Chic as it gets!

Ruffles galore

Candice Pinto gives it her best shot in this short ruffled and buttoned reverie.

Making a wave

The designer steps out alongside his models at the end of an edgy showing.
