Unusual monsoon pics: The umbrella improv!

We invited you to send in unique rain-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here are some more responses!

First up is Inbarajan S, who captured this image of a lady caught in the rain. Looks like she forgot her umbrella home on this particular day, so she's improvising with a sheet of plastic!

The dragon cloud

Up next is this pic from Vishnu Sarma, who says, "At the beginning of the monsoon season, I saw this cloud-formation that looks like a dragon and captured it on camera."

King of the world!

Rohan Kale sent in this next image, explaining that it was shot at Lonavala's Tiger Point. "This place looks awesome during the rainy season, with complete greenery," he says. "There is a big valley behind me and a huge moutain, but it's so foggy out there that you can hardly see it..."

Waiting to bloom

Vinit Kanitkar from Pune e-mailed us this pretty shot, of buds shimmering with rain and waiting to burst forth in bloom.

Just a hint of sunshine

And finally, we have this photograph from Abhishek Shukla of Bangalore. "It was shot at Grand Bay in Mauritius," he says. "It was eveningtime, after the monsoon clouds had madly showered and the setting sun peeped out."
