This next one was e-mailed in by Naga Sundar. "It was taken when we went on a team outing to Vaigai Dam, Madurai. It was raining and the sun was hidden by clouds," he says. Doesn't the single beam of light shining through look striking?

Shivani Rai sent in this next one, shot in Florida during the rains. Hot tea and snacks in the rain -- aah! What more can one possibly want?

"This photograph was taken in Rangathittu Bird Sanctuary near Mysore in July. The ibis is returning to its nest as the storm clouds gather for a downpour," says Nandini Ramprasad.

And finally, we have this in from Mahantesh S Gokavi. "This is Rajgad, around 70 kilometres south of Pune. It took us four hours to reach the top of Bale Killa, where it was raining heavily." No wonder they're all trying to share a single umbrella!
