Unusual monsoon pics: Floating footwear!

We invited you to send in unique rain-themed photographs -- odd scenes that are captured on a lens for posterity -- to share with other readers. Here are some more responses!

First up is this one from Vidya Jayram, shot, she says, "on a cloudy day in Norman, Arkansas, USA. It was at Collier Creek that a friend's sandals were floating carelessly on the clear green water."

Muthuvel Sivaraman from Chennai waxes eloquent about his pretty picture, saying, "Rain carries some secret from the sky to the earth, especially these drop, which carry the most beautiful secret. I took this photo early in the morning, after a rainy night."

This next one was sent in by Dayanand Bagad, who says he was enjoying the rainy weather at the hillstation of Lonavala only a fortnight ago.

Arun AK sent in this image of Thanjavur Temple on a sunny day that he clicked last month. The dark rain clouds are threatening to blot out the sun and come pouring down.

And finally, Shivani Rai sent in this one of buttered corn cooking on a burner. Mmmm -- is your mouth watering yet?
