Name_of_college: SIkkim Manipal Instititue of Technology

Course_to_enroll: B.Tech
Best_faculty: Shri R. N. Bera, Dean(Academic Affairs),HoD Electronics & Communication Dept. Wide array of research papers. Has worked with most of India's top research institutes like DRDO. Has in depth knowledge of subject. Is student friendly and all that matters to him is academics.
USP: Situated in a breathtaking valley in East Sikkim, SMIT has a record of good placements even in the time of recession. Bankers like Wells Fargo and conultancy firms like Accenutre have made a beeline for the top students here. Has a very nice set of faculties for EC,EE and CSE. Sincere college with an independent University(Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Mdecial and Technological Sciences). A fully residential college with Mess and awesome Hostel facilites. ALl B.Tech courses recognised by AICTE. EC< EE,CSE,IT & ME recognised by National Board of Accredition.
Did_you_attend_this_college: I attended the college from 2005-2009. Like all college students I had my own set of low ppoints but otherwise my 4 years B.Tech in Electical & Electronics was highly fruitful and today working in a FOrtune 500 company, I feel proud to have be an alumni of SMIT. No college and B.Tech course is a bed of roses, you'll be stung by thorns someday or everyday, time willl eventually heal all wounds.
