Last updated on: March 19, 2010 17:31 IST

We invited readers to send in their favourite travel pic -- that one photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place they visited. And we have been inundated with stunning pics of every corner of this beautiful country.

Here we feature some more photographs readers sent in, all of them taking in the scenic beauty of Rajasthan. Check them out!

First up is this snap by Pijush Giri -- it shows the historic vista of Jaisalmer Fort, also known as the Sonar Kella.

Do you have a photograph that perfectly captures the beauty of a place -- of a breathtaking peak or a picture-perfect seashore? Share it with the world. Simply send in your photograph (original photos only) to travelpicsga@rediffmail.com (subject line: 'My travel pic'), along with your name, the name of the place, a short description of the photograph, when you visited and what you liked most about the place. We'll feature the best pics right here of rediff.com.

Jaisalmer sunset

Another of Giri's photographs captures the beauty of the sun as it sets behind the windmills of Jaisalmer.

Seas of sand

Giri also photographed the rise and fall of sand dunes in the Great Indian Desert -- this was taken and hour or so before sunset.

Pushkar Jheel

Reader Chandan Kumar sent in this still of Pushkar Jheel in Rajasthan. "It was an incredible journey from Delhi to Jaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar," says Kumar. "I was told that I could get mesmerising pics if I reached Pushkar Jheel before sunrise. This is what I got and I will cherish it throughout my life."

Khuri sand dunes

And finally, we have Tarandeep Singh Sekhon's interesting snapshot. "It was sunset time and the sand dunes were like sheets of gold sand spread across miles," he says. "It was such a beautiful place and sight. I captured my wife's aerial jump over the sunset."
