| Best college because: | Its a very old college which has now become a full-fledged university. It boasts of very experienced professors and a great Alumni. Placements are very good. Students from Thapar University are given good respect once placed in companies. The university has the latest technologies installed in their lab. The infrastructure is top notch. The campus is huge. The course modules are great and there is a great emphasis on practical knowledge. It is one of the best private universities. |

| Extracurricular activities: | Annual technological fest, annual cultural fest (both are biggest events in north India), 2 formula one cars are produced each year for a global competition which takes place in countries like England, Japan and USA, societies and clubs for various activities, sports and participation in various competitions happening around the world. |
