Designer Krishna Mehta celebrated over a decade of fashion on Day One of the LFW with a collection she wants women to "lust after", in her own words.
Rich dyes, prints and textures were the mainstay as free-flowing ethnicwear in a gamut of colours took to the ramp at Krishna Mehta's showing at Lakme Fashion Week.
Opulence and luxury was highlighted by lehengas, saris, structured jackets and tunics with dashes of sparkle.
Here's how it all went down.
Kicking off with a muted palette of pale yellow, seen here is a georgette anarkali, teamed with an ecru georgette jacket and muslin ghagra, all replete with embroidery.
Ecru elegance
Next we have another ecru georgette jacket with black and silver embroidery, worn over palazzo pants.
Showing some leg
Nicole Faria struts her stuff in a peach lame sequin-lined ruffled top, worn over embroidered shorts.
Slinky in silk
Entirely hand-worked, here we have a silk printed number consisting of a short shift number and jacket.
Lime in limbo
Nethra Raghuraman takes a turn in this lime sequinned tunic, worn with a kalidar jacket dress.
Sherwani style
Exquisite workmanship comes to the fore with this maroon jacquard silk embroidered sherwani.
Jacket jumble
The designer strikes the right note with a beautifully tailored jacket, teamed with a free-flowing lehenga.
Royal wardrobe
Nicole steps out once more in another royal-looking sari-jacket combo in bright lime, gold and grey.
Shimmering chicka
Surelee Joseph is a vision in a georgette jacket and lehenga with zardozi embellishment.
