The Magen David Synagogue, at Byculla, belongs to the Baghdadi Jews.
Dusty and run-down, this Gothic-looking synagogue was built by India’s most well known Baghdadi Jew, David Sassoon, in 1861. While the Sassoon School next door is full of life, the synagogue seems to mostly inhabited by pigeons.
