Red Carpet luxe closes out Couture Week

From Resort to Red Carpet in 30 minutes was not a 30-minute-long show. That being said, the show closed out the HDIL India Couture Week with some rather interesting pieces ranging from hotpants and bustiers to babydoll dresses and jumpsuits. The idea according to Monisha Jaising was to move away from the tag of couture being overly priced and over the top.

In this picture, a plain grey tee gets a makeover with a sexy bustier and a pair of denim hotpants.

Say it with pearls

Move over, little black dress, here comes white.

Jump cut

We may not have seen a lot of jumpsuits at the Lakme Fashion Week this season. But Jaising provided us with quite few in her show.

Guess who's here

The babydoll dress makes a comeback and how! Floral prints, simple but sexy hemline and a pearl neckpiece make this one an absolute pleasure to see.

Take a jump

With a plunging neckline and floral prints this jumpsuit sure makes heads turn.

Babydoll again

It might be slightly dressier, but this one's definitely a smart casual piece that's a must-have in your wardrobe.

Made of gold

This one, we're guessing, is the "Red Carpet" part of the collection.

Very V

Golden and black have been very popular at Couture Week and could Jaising stray far? Models show off their plunging V-necklines in the two hot colours of the season.

The designer and her muses
