Music concert to benefit the underprivileged

The Mehli Mehta Music Foundation will present its fourteenth annual Chamber Music Festival -- Sangat 2009 with three concerts on December 18, 19 and 20, 2009 at the Tata Theatre, Mumbai at 6.30 pm, and a special concert for children on December 15, 2009 at the Experimental Theatre, Mumbai at 6.30 pm.

The first concert on December 18, will be dedicated to the Light of Life Trust, founded by Villy Doctor that works for the welfare of underprivileged rural people. The currently three projects of the trust are: Anando; Education.  Jagruti; Awakening.  Angan; Health and Hospice.

Sangat maintains its promise to bring to Mumbai audiences some of the finest musicians and artists from different parts of the world with concerts of the highest quality. There will be a few familiar faces but some outstanding new artists will be joining them.

Programmes will include works by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and Dvorak.

Invitation passes will be available on a first-cum-first served basis at the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation, B/2, Banoo Mansions, Cumballa Hill Road, Mumbai 400036 from 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
